5. Holy Spirit

5. Holy Spirit
God the eternal Spirit was active with the Father and the Son in Creation, incarnation, and redemption. He inspired the writers of Scripture. He filled Christ’s life with power. He draws and convicts human beings; and those who respond He renews and transforms into the image of God. Sent by the Father and the Son to be always with His children, He extends spiritual gifts to the church, empowers it to bear witness to Christ, and in harmony with the Scriptures leads it into all truth. (Gen. 1:1, 2; Luke 1:35; 4:18; Acts 10:38; 2 Peter 1:21; 2 Cor. 3:18; Eph. 4:11, 12; Acts 1:8; John 14:16-18, 26; 15:26, 27; 16:7-13.)

Commentary -
Point1 of Point5 - God the eternal Spirit? Where in the Bible is the Holy Spirit ever referred to as God?
Point2 of Point5 - "He renews and transforms into the image of God"? He (the spirit) transforms into his own image?
Point3 of Point5 - "Sent by the Father and the Son"? Sent by himself & himself?
Point4 of Point5 - "empowers it to bear witness to Christ"? empowers himself to bear witness to himself?

The holy spirit is not a person. It is energy from God. He uses it on people or things to make sure that whatever he wants will happen. Is it hard to believe that such a marvelous force comes from the almighty God? Not at all!—Read Isaiah 40:12, 13 which says: 12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand And taken the measurements of the heavens with a span of his hand? Who has gathered in a measure the dust of the earth Or weighed the mountains in the balances And the hills in the scales? 13 Who has taken the measurements of the spirit of Jehovah, And who can instruct him as his adviser?

Jesus told his disciples: “The helper, the holy spirit, which the Father will send in my name, that one will teach you all things and bring back to your minds all the things I told you.” (John 14:26) When we prayerfully study God’s Word, including Christ’s teachings, holy spirit will help us to understand Jehovah’s deep wisdom, so that we can obey him. (1 Corinthians 2:10) Also, at any unexpected turn in the road to life, God’s spirit will help us to know what to do. His spirit will help us to remember Bible principles that we have already learned and help us to understand how we can use them to make good decisions. Yes, Jehovah's holy spirit is not God, but God's active force.
