9. Life, Death, and Resurrection of Christ

9. Life, Death, and Resurrection of Christ
In Christ’s life of perfect obedience to God’s will, His suffering, death, and resurrection, God provided the only means of atonement for human sin, so that those who by faith accept this atonement may have eternal life, and the whole creation may better understand the infinite and holy love of the Creator. This perfect atonement vindicates the righteousness of God’s law and the graciousness of His character; for it both condemns our sin and provides for our forgiveness. The death of Christ is substitutionary and expiatory, reconciling and transforming. The resurrection of Christ proclaims God’s triumph over the forces of evil, and for those who accept the atonement assures their final victory over sin and death. It declares the Lordship of Jesus Christ, before whom every knee in heaven and on earth will bow. ( John 3:16; Isa. 53; 1 Peter 2:21, 22; 1 Cor. 15:3, 4, 20-22; 2Cor. 5:14, 15, 19-21; Rom. 1:4; 3:25; 4:25; 8:3, 4; 1 John 2:2; 4:10; Col. 2:15; Phil. 2:6-11.)

Commentary -
Point1 of Point9 - In Christ’s life of perfect obedience to God’s will - Christ is called on to be obedient to God's will? obedient to his own will?
Point2 of Point9 - His (God's) death?
Point3 of Point9 - may have eternal life? or wouldn't it be more accurate to say that those who accept this atonement may have the hope of eternal life? The reason why I say, the hope of eternal life, is because during this new order or arrangement (the 1,000 year reign of Christ) mankind will not be perfect until the end of the 1,000 years at which point there will be a final test so that all mankind will be tested the same as Adam was tested, in a perfect state and having a perfect relationship with Jehovah so that after the final test at the end of the Thousand Year Reign, humans will still be tested in a perfect state as perfect free moral agents. (Revelation 20:7-10) 7 "Now as soon as the 1,000 years have ended, Satan will be released from his prison, 8 and he will go out to mislead those nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Ma′gog, to gather them together for the war. The number of these is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they advanced over the whole earth and encircled the camp of the holy ones and the beloved city. But fire came down out of heaven and consumed them. 10 And the Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire and sulfur, where both the wild beast and the false prophet already were; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever." So, humans will always be able to choose of their own free will whether to continue serving Jehovah or not. So, it cannot be said that no human will ever turn his back on God, as Adam did. But having fully established the rules of the universe and proving them in a court setting for the previous 6,000 years of mankind's existence since their creation has set precedence and rule of law that Jehovah is in fact the ruler of this universe and that he has assigned rulership of His Kingdom to his Son, Jesus to rule with the 144,000 anointed heirs.
